THE NAGANO/NIIGATA REGION

Both coastal and mountaneous cities, Nagano and Niigata are a taste of the countryside not too far from Tokyo. On the way to Nagano, explore Karuizawa, a luxurious hotspring resort. Further on, Nagano: made famous by the 1998 Winter Olympics, today it is a top spot for Buddhist pilgrimages and walks in the lovely Japanese Alps.

As for Niigata, this area is well-known throughout Japan for its local products. A modern city, it is also one of the most important fishing ports in Japan. This city is also the gateway to Sado Island, a special island where nature and hiking reign supreme.

Of all the 'traveler SIMs' I've tried, this was the best one. Keep it up!

I've made multiple trips to Japan. I use Japan rail pass for things like Sim cards and even booking tickets for trains when landing at Narita. It has always been an easy and smooth service. Their customer service is absolutely fantastic. This is the place to start when planning your trip to Japan.

I purchased two SIM cards for a recent trip to Japan. They came when expected, the price was fair, and they worked well. The only issue was that the SIM cards didn't work inside the Narita airport terminal buildings, which was inconvenient. They worked even on the train platform, but not inside.
