The Pasmo Card is a prepaid smart card that allows travel on almost all methods of transport in Japan (subway, trains, and buses). By touching the card on the appropriate symbol on ticket gates, the card is charged for each trip. Originally created for Tokyo, it can now be used all over Japan since March 2013.

  • The Pasmo Card is already charged and ready to be used.
  • You will need one Pasmo card per person: once you have used all the credit on the card, it is possible to top-up the card with credit.

Really easy to order, delivery was quick without any issues. The Rail pass itself was invaluable in Japan, rail is definitely the way to see this beautiful country.
