Travel with a Japan Rail Pass and ride a shinkansen
Shin Yokohama Station is the Shinkansen Station of the Tokaido Line just after Shinagawa Station in the Tokyo - Nagoya direction. All shinkansen stop here.

Please note that the service of shinkansen (direct for Nagoya or omnibus) varies according to the type of train you ride : Nozomi, Hikari or Kodama. Please check the signs on the platforms.

The station is also home to Yokohama Line which connects to Yokohama Station. Connections are easy to Yokohama Subway.

WHERE to collect your  JAPAN RAIL PASS ?
Once in Shin Yokohama Station, you have to go to the JR Central Ticket Office to exchange your Japan Rail Pass Voucher. The Shinkansen platforms are located above the JR line platforms.

GETTING AROUND SHIN YOKOHAMA station
From Shin Yokohama Station, it is very easy to reach Yokohama Ramen Museum and Nissan Stadium which will host several matches of the Rugby World Cup in 2019.

To reach Chinatown, take the subway line to Kannai Station or Yokohama Line to Yokohama Station and then the subway.
