The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) operates a traveler hotline all year round 24 hours a day. They can help with tourist information or assistance, including coronavirus (COVID-19). This service is available in English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese.

As of the 3rd April 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) situation report confirmed that 2617 people have tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID 19) on Japanese territory (excluding patients traveling on the cruise ship Princess Diamond ). Japan has 126.8 million inhabitants, so the number of people infected with the Coronavirus is low.
